The English-language service of SIDA INFO SERVICE
is available to all English speakers,
whether they be in France temporarily
(visitors, tourists, seasonal workers,
etc.), residents or planning to move
to France.
This information, support and referral
service is specifically designed for
those who speak English (as well as
Bambara, Arabic, Russian or Spanish).
Callers can ask questions about :
- The
health care system in France, how
to enter the system and access
to care for HIV, hepatites or STD.
- Anxiety while waiting for test results
- Worries concerning a possible risk taken
- Secondary effects of treatment
- Relationship problems with a spouse or family, following
a HIV positive result
Someone is there to talk to you on
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The initial exchange will be in French (note : in case of scheduling
problems, there may not be anyone available to take your call in
English ; the listener who greets you should be able to tell you
when an English-speaker will be available)
